Emma Hack is pleased to announce her portrait commission of Adelaide City Lady Mayoress to be exhibited at Singapore Contemporary At Show for Emma Hack’s first Solo Exhibition in Singapore this January.
Genevieve Theseira-Haese, born in Singapore is a perfect alignment, bringing our two cities and cultures together. I chose the Phoenix symbol of femininity and strength to feature in the work with our Lady Mayoress, titled ‘Our Lady Phoenix’.
The work is a bespoke portrait, printed on cotton and hand embroidered with silk thread by internationally renoun artist Emma Hack.
Proceeds raised from the sale of the work will be donated to The Eurasian Association, Singapore. Helping underprivileged Singapore Eurasians get through the hardships of life’s unforeseen circumstances through various programmes and funds.
